The 2008 NODA National Weekend will take place at
Peebles Hotel Hydroin Peebles from 19th - 21st Sept.
The border town of Peebles straddles the River
Tweed and is only 23 miles from the cultured city of Edinburgh. Peebles
motto is ‘Against the stream they multiply’ due to the
world famous salmon fishing river, although there are many other
treasures for visitors to see. The town has something for everyone and
was ranked Top Independent Retailing Town in Scotland for its range of
independent shops and timeless High Street. Tourist attractions include
Biggar Puppet Theatre (visit Friday), Traquair House, Scotland’s
oldest inhabited house and Kailzie Gardens.
As well as its regular series of meetings, the
National Weekend will offer entertainment and social activities, to
include a Saturday workshop and an excursion to Biggar Puppet Theatre.
It is also an excellent opportunity to network
with other amateur theatre enthusiasts.
