NT’s 2008 ‘Watch This Space’
Festival
4th July - 28th September
The National Theatre’s annual ‘Watch
This Space’ festival celebrates an immensely wide variety of work
from theperforming arts in all their forms.
For the summer months (when the weather holds off)
Theatre Square, in front of Denys Lasdun's iconic building on the South
Bank, becomes the fourth auditorium, where all sorts of surprises are
waiting to happen.
‘Watch ThisSpace’ is definitely the
playful side of the National, where we can all let our hair down on the
lawn and welcome a vast number of extraordinary artists to entertain
us.
2008 marks the tenth anniversary of the creation
of the festival and, this year, the National will be running it for
longer than ever. With a huge variety of theatre, music, cabaret,
dance, film, circus and installations, there is surely something for
everyone to enjoy.
