The Green Theatre Company's next production will be the riotously funny 'The 39 Steps' directed by Maria Clinton and adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan from the movie of Alfred Hitchcock licensed by ITV Global Entertainment Limited and an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon.
Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have this intriguing, thrilling, riotous and unmissable comedy. The show hurtles a notorious fugitive and a spellbound blonde from a London music hall north by northwest to Scotland’s most remote highlands. Will they save Britain from a den of devious spies? A cast of four actors plays over 150 characters in this fast-paced tale of an ordinary man on an extraordinarily entertaining adventure.
I've wanted to direct this crazy and fun play for a long time as I'm a huge Hitchock fan and love old films and this combines both perfectly. I really encourage as many people as possible to come along to the cornerHOUSE and laugh as much as I did when I first saw it in the West End a few years ago.
