…TO AWARD £100,000 OF SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS
Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts is delighted to announce a major new partnership with Crossroads Live, one of the world’s leading producers of musical theatre, pantomime and immersive experiences. Over the next four years, dozens of students will benefit from Crossroads Live Scholarships, providing invaluable support to performers undertaking undergraduate courses in Musical Theatre, Acting and Actor Musicianship from September 2023.
Mountview and Crossroads Live share a commitment to removing barriers to careers in the arts and believe that a person’s circumstances should never prevent them from reaching their potential. This partnership continues this commitment at a time when the cost-of-living crisis is particularly impacting the next generation of talent.
To ensure we are training the very best talent, and our stages and screens are representative of the society we live in, Mountview provides financial support to those who could not otherwise afford to train through its Scholarships programme. This commitment from Crossroads Live joins a growing raft of support and funding at Mountview, made possible thanks to forward-thinking individuals and organisations.
Mountview is incredibly excited to announce this new four-year sponsorship from Crossroads Live. These scholarships will enable some of the most talented students in the UK to train at Mountview. The impact of this partnership cannot be understated, helping us to achieve our commitment to access and continue to deliver a pipeline of extraordinarily skilled performers to the creative industries. We’re especially delighted that this support comes from one of the industry’s leading producers who employ dozens of Mountview graduates each year and who recognise this essential need for supporting the next generation of talent.
Sally Ann Gritton, Principal, Mountview
As a former actor who wishes he’d had the chance to attend drama school, I’m delighted to create Crossroads Live Scholarships, in partnership with Mountview, one of the UK’s leading drama schools. It’s vitally important that we do whatever we can to help encourage and support the next generation of acting talent and Crossroads Live’s financial commitment to this scheme over the next four years will help make their dreams a reality. We look forward to employing our first Crossroads Live Scholar in the future!
