Amateur Theatre Fights on this Christmas in Ealing

As long as London stays out of Tier 3, thriving theatre in Ealing returns after lockdown with three COVID-secure productions, including two special Christmas shows to welcome in the festive period.

Christmas Ghost Stories

Nothing will lock these ghosts down

We all want that ‘chill factor’ during the winter months – and we don’t mean the cold breath of a further lockdown. After the sell-out success of Horror Stories for Hallowe’en, The Questors bring you more spine-chilling tales, told live on stage. Are you brave enough to enter?

Runs for four performances only on 12th December at 3:30 pm, then 7:45 pm and 20th December at 3:30 pm, then 7:45 pm.

The Letter of Last Resort

By award-winning playwright David Greig

16th-19th Dec, 7.45 pm & 19th Dec 2.30 pm

It all rests on one piece of paper…

Live performance at Ealing’s thriving theatre returns! For their second show this month they will be staging ‘The Letter of Last Resort’, previously on at the West End.

It’s late on the night after the general election. The new Prime Minister is working when she is interrupted by The Head of Arrangements. He has one request – a letter needs to be written, by her alone. It can only say one of two things, but its implications could change the face of the earth forevermore…

A gripping one-act drama that skilfully unpacks the debate on nuclear weapons and the complex power they hold. Written by award-winning Scottish writer David Greig.

The Questors Theatre are proud to be collaborating with Playgc Theatre Company on this production. Playgc is a new company that seeks to produce and stage mainly contemporary theatre with an emphasis on new writing, including commissioning work by young writers. This production was previously performed at the West End’s Jermyn Street Theatre in 2016 to high-acclaim.

“Thought-provoking & witty” – Rupa Huq MP on ‘The Letter of Last Resort’

Running Time: 50 minutes, no interval.

Runs in The Questors Judi Dench Playhouse for a limited 5 performances only. Due to social-distancing, there will be limited seating, so it’s recommended to book your tickets in advance.

The Questors Present…

Original Audio Drama: Powerplay

By Lucy Aley-Parker

Miranda is a jobbing actor. She’s done all the usual stuff… television, film, theatre, commercials. Now she’s being considered for a lead role in a TV blockbuster. She loves the part, knows it backwards, and realises it could change her life.

Nancy is the casting director, young and ambitious. She sees this film as a way to really make her mark in the industry. She’s worked on many productions as an assistant, but this one is all hers. She knows she has to deliver.

Joe is a hotshot TV director, on the way up. He’s already won a couple of awards and is building quite a reputation. He has total confidence in his ability to take this script, despite its flaws, and turn it into a winner. What starts out as just another casting session turns into a powerplay all of its own.
