Ireland’s most renowned female playwright; Deirdre KInahan has work performed internationally and translated into many languages. Her new play, Bloody Yesterday is playing London next week ahead of it’s tour.   Inspired by a true story, it delicately depicts the broken relationship between a Mother and Daughter : Exploring loss, estrangement, identity, resilience and motherhood. Haunted by a ‘nineties’ soundtrack Bloody Yesterday also charts the extraordinary influence of music on memory coupled with the unshakeable bond of family, love, and blood. Lastly and most pertinently, Bloody Yesterday explores the vilification of women who leave the home and children behind.

Directed by Rex Ryan, Featuring Elizabeth Moynihan and Sinead Keegan. Runs the 27th of March to the 2nd of April for it’s London debut ahead of it’s Irish tour and New York run.
