Coward, Christie and curry

Following on from the recent success of our Bitesize Drama Buffet Dinner, we are returning this Autumn with another dinner-theatre evening.

We will be presenting two one-act plays: Noel Coward’s ‘Still Life’ and Agatha Christie’s ‘The Rats’.

Still Life

This is the play on which the film Brief Encounter was based. In a suburban railway station, Dr. Harvey removes a cinder from Laura’s eye. Over subsequent meetings their casual friendship soon develops into something more emotionally fulfilling than either expected, and they must wrestle with the potential havoc their deepening relationship would have on their lives and the lives of those they love.

The Rats

Adulterous lovers Sandra and David are called to the Torrances’ flat for evening drinks. However, when they arrive, no one is home. What first appears to be a simple mix up of dates turns to something far more sinister.
