Nell Gwynn, infamous orange seller turned actress, was one of the first women to appear on the London stage when Charles II became King and reopened the theatres in the 1660s – the Restoration. She achieved fame and fortune and a degree of notoriety when she became one of the King’s favourite mistresses. Based on the accounts of the time, this is a romp through the life of a feisty, talented woman way ahead of her times. Join us for this modern take on a restoration comedy full of witty dialogue, drama, music, singing, dancing and a wee bit of naughtiness too.
