Passing the Spoon

based on Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters. Directed by Angelika Michitsch
The devised piece centres around the Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters, first published in St Louis, Missouri, in 1914. The Anthology consists of epitaphs that give the dead of the fictitious small town Spoon River a voice. Of these, 16 pre-selected epitaphs of women – detailing their lives, complex relationships and demise – will be represented in voice as well as movement to reveal what their lives may have meant.

Each Fallen Robin

Each Fallen Robin, follows an evening shared between Will and Fran, after hours at the carpentry workshop where they both work. While the snow falls heavily outside, they learn more about each other’s lives, loves, sorrows and hopes.
