The Ealing Club

The world premiere of an electrifying new play celebrating the iconic Ealing venue comes to The Questors Theatre.

The Questors Theatre and the Ealing Club are proud to present a world premiere of the brand-new play, The Ealing Club—a tale of bending notes, falling in love and almost being there for the birth of The Rolling Stones. Already selling out its first 2 shows, this exciting new show proudly marks the 60-year anniversary of The Rolling Stones’ first gig. Inspired by true-events and written in collaboration with the team behind the feature film Suburban Steps to Rockland, this powerful production runs for just 8 performances at The Questors Studio Theatre. After each show, there will be a local band playing live music.

Just below the ABC Teashop opposite Ealing Broadway tube station, a music revolution is taking place. Out of the cold, grey winter of 1962 comes the wild amplification of electric guitars and Chicago heat. Five young people make their way down a set of dark, narrow steps into the Ealing Club, an escape from their beige lives—the birthplace of British Blues.

The space race is on. The USA moves on Cuba. The world seems trigger-happy. And the roar of John Lee Hooker beckons.
