The Ending

When a couple is torn apart by tragedy, how can they be together again… if they even should?

‘The Ending’ is a new play by Tom Sparrow that explores what happened after the classic story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Dipping into this classic myth and exploring themes of grief, lonliness and love, this play dives into questions we only ask when it’s too late.

Not only that, but this event provides more than just one play. Each night will play host to an extra bit of exciting theatre potential. For three nights, there will be stage readings which will be allowing exciting emerging artists to test out their work to a warm and encouraging audience. As well as this, one of the nights will be followed by a Q&A aimed towards emerging artists and students who want to get involved in the exciting  fringe theatre world but are not quite sure how to start.

This brilliant event is produced by Periphery Theatre. Their main goal is to give emerging artists their first leg up into the theatre industry whilst also providing a supportive and friendly place to do so. Their previous work includes their debut show, ‘blue bottles’ (2021, The Lion and Unicorn Theatre), which received glowing reviews (5* – Fringe Biscuit) and their incredibly successful ‘Scratch That’ (2022, The Golden Goose Theatre) which helped over 16 individual artists get their work on stage in an electric south London venue.
