Calendar Girls The Musical

Calendar Girls The Musical

HMOS Theatre Company (formerly Hinchley Manor Operatic Society) are putting on ‘CALENDAR GIRLS THE MUSICAL’ at ADRIAN MANN THEATRE, EWELL, 25th – 27th MAY 2023.

‘There’s a courage you only ever find is there… if you dare’

The passing of Annie’s beloved husband John rocks the tightly-knit community of Knapely. Best friend Chris comes up with her ‘first non-stupid idea’ – a nude calendar to raise money for charity. Can the other members of the Women’s Institute be convinced? Stories of self-realisation, friendship and overcoming fear weave together in this heartwarming musical, written by Gary Barlow & Tim Firth.

One in two people in the UK will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime and so HMOS members are proud to announce that the Society will be supporting Blood Cancer UK and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity during 2023.

The Society welcomes our director Liv Chaffe as she makes her debut with us and we welcome back our Musical Director, Dennis Clark-Hooker, who returns to us after The Likes of Us back in 2009.

Calendar Girls The Musical’ is on at the Adrian Mann Theatre, NESCOT, Ewell, 54 Reigate Rd, Epsom KT17 3DR.

Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme… You better get me to school on time! Based on the hit movie, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There, he turns a class of straight-A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out?
So, hold your guitar picks high and get ready to Stick It To The Man!

All By Myself / All By Themselves

All By Myself / All By Themselves

Alone, desolate and without a friend, Larry the Loner is cast away on a desert island. Or at least that’s what he thinks …

All By Myself and All By Themselves are two consecutive comedies that are full of sun, sand, sea and silliness as Larry discovers that there’s more to the island than first meets the eye. The ensuing plot involves the 3Rs –  rafts, rocks and really funny jokes – and could that be a treasure map?

Breakaway Theatre Company is excited to bring Robert Scott’s shows to the Inn on the Park, St Albans. As we dish up the drama outdoors, the Inn will be serving up hot and cold refreshments to wash down the comedy.

This November, CAODS Lincoln are delighted to present an infamous tale of love, revenge – and pies! – at the New Theatre Royal Lincoln.

Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s deliciously dark, thrilling theatrical treat has shocked and delighted audiences since being awarded eight tony awards on its Broadway premier.
