Spider’s Web is a parody of the usual Agatha Christie fare – a light comedy version of a thriller. The audience know “whodunnit” but the police inspector doesn’t. There are multiple red herrings and just about everyone has a motive. There’s even a butler – did he do it? It’s an ensemble piece set in 1954 and there are a broad range of over-the-top characters to get your teeth into and make your own.
Director Liz Riley is keen to keep the twist at the end of the play a secret – even from BCP members not involved in the production!
