Set in 1929 New York the city is divided by gang warfare. On one side Dandy Dan’s mob terrorise, taking out those they turn against with their new splurge guns. On the other side, Fat Sam who runs the successful Grand Slam Speakeasy and enjoys the attention of his girlfriend, the seductive Tallulah. Sam brings in Bugsy Malone, a smooth-talking man about town to defeat his rival while Bugsy simultaneously attempts to woo Blousy Brown, the new singer in town. But things do not run smoothly …., in fact, they get, VERY messy. Packed with instantly recognisable songs from Oscar winner Paul Williams including My Name Is Tallulah, You Give A Little Love and Fat Sam’s Grand Slam, Bugsy Malone is a masterclass of musical comedy with one of the most joyously uplifting finales in musical theatre.
