Following a sell-out season in London, Dragons And Mythical Beasts will be flying into The Marlowe Theatre this month.

The family theatre show, which is written by Derek Bond and reunites the creative team behind West End hit Dinosaur World Live, will run from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 August.

The show invites audiences to enter a magical world of myths and legends and unveils a myriad of dark secrets. It brings a host of mythical creatures to life on stage using life-like puppetry including the colossal Stone Troll, the mysterious Indrik and Japanese Baku; the Tooth Fairy (not as sweet as you’d think), an adorable Unicorn and majestic Griffin. The live theatre experience is suitable for ages three and above.

The cast includes Ben Galpin (Dave the hero trainer), Antony Antunes (puppeteer/puppet captain), Emily Cooper (puppeteer /puppet technician), Elaine Hartley (puppeteer), Samuel Parker (puppeteer/understudy host), and Liam Wright (puppeteer).

The production is co-directed by Derek Bond (Sweet Charity, Little Shop Of Horrors) and Laura Cubitt (Running Wild, Don Quixote, War Horse), with associate director Emma Brunton, assistant director Nicky Allpress and puppet designer Max Humphries (National Theatre, Royal Opera House, Cirque de Soleil).

Dragons And Mythical Beasts will be at The Marlowe Theatre from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 August, with various performance times. Tickets can be booked on marlowetheatre.com or via the Box Office on 01227 787787
