Jenny Landreth and I are discussing the effect the pandemic has had on amateur theatre. And, author of Break a Leg: a Memoir, Manifesto and Celebration of Amateur Theatre, which was published earlier this year she has well informed views. Moreover, she was ‘born into’ amateur theatre. Her parents met at Highbury Little Theatre, Sutton Coldfield, where her mother, now ninety, is still an active member. In childhood, as she details in her book, Jenny was much involved.
