NT’s PUBLIC ACTS AT CAST in DONCASTER

As if you needed reminding, ‘Public Acts’ is the National Theatre’s nationwide initiative to create extraordinary acts of theatre and community. The programme creates ambitious new works of participatory theatre and is built on sustained partnerships with theatres and community organisations across the UK that share a vision of theatre as a force for change.
The first Public Acts production was Pericles in August 2018, in the NT’s Olivier Theatre. The second production was As You Like It performed a year later in 2019, this time at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch. Sardines was lucky to see both shows (reviews online), and we can confirm that they are initiatives that firmly link both professional and community sectors.
