We actually saw you in Forbidden Broadway in the west end a few years ago.
“Oh yes, that’s still one of the highlights of my career. I loved doing that show both in the West End and on Broadway. I grew up going to and listening to Forbidden Broadway at The Cave because the show was running for eight years even before I was born. So to get to see that in New York was bigger for me than being cast in the show like Les Miserables. I knew it so well and it was this dynamic cast of just four; two men, two women, who will play all these parts on Broadway and in the West End. So I thought, ‘That’s got to be it, if I can get in that show, it’s got to be the coolest job ever.’ So when I got to do it in New York it was a thrill but the writer, creator, who had been doing it for twenty-nine years or so had decided that he’d had enough - that he wanted to take a little break. I remember thinking, ‘But I’ve just got this job, you’ve been doing this show for years and I’ve just been doing it for eight months or so!’ So when I got the call to do it in London, the place where I hadn’t spent much time at that point - now it’s my favourite city that I also live in. I just couldn’t believe it, and to do it in the West End… It was such a high point for me and came at a time when my fame and notoriety was building, especially on YouTube. So, basically my two worlds came together and led me to the West End.”
