YOUR NEWS – Royal Visit
Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex, visited the Northern Ballet company in November at Woking’s New Victoria Theatre on the eve of the opening night of the company’s national tour of The Nutcracker.
His Royal Highness, Northern Ballet’s Royal Patron, spoke to cast and crew members to wish them the best of luck for their upcoming performances and hear about the creative process behind the production.
The Orince met new Artistic Director, Federico Bonelli, and the Company of Dancers and Technical Team as they prepared to open their production of the famous festive ballet.
The Earl of Wessex has long supported the Leeds-based ballet company and became Royal Patron in 2003, following in the footsteps of HRH Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowden who was previously Royal Patron until her death in 2002.
